Answers to Common Questions About Working with Sales Heart Partners

Choosing a sales training and coaching partner is an important decision. Every organization has different goals, challenges, and expectations, so it's natural to have questions before deciding whether to move forward.

Below are answers to many of the questions Western and Central New York business owners, presidents, CEOs, founders, and sales leaders ask us before we begin working together.

About Sandler by Sales Heart Partners

What does Sandler by Sales Heart Partners do?

Sales Heart Partners helps business owners and sales leaders build stronger sales organizations through coaching, training, leadership development, and sales process improvement. Our goal isn't simply to help people sell more. It's to help organizations create consistent, repeatable sales performance that isn't dependent on one person carrying the business.

Who do you typically work with?

We work primarily with business owners, founders, presidents, CEOs, sales leaders, and growing B2B organizations.

Most of our clients sell products, services, or solutions that involve multiple conversations, multiple decision makers, or longer buying cycles. We work across a variety of industries because effective sales conversations are built on proven principles, not industry-specific scripts.

What industries do you work with?

We work with organizations across manufacturing, distribution, professional services, technology, construction, financial services, climatetech, sustainability, medical devices and many other industries.

Rather than specializing in one vertical, we specialize in helping organizations that sell complex, consultative, or high-value solutions.

Do you only work with companies in Rochester?

Our primary focus is serving organizations throughout Rochester and Western New York.

We also work with organizations that have multiple offices, remote sales teams, or locations throughout North America.

Working Together

What happens during the first meeting?

The first meeting is simply a conversation.

We'll learn about your business, your goals, your sales team, and the challenges you're trying to solve. We'll ask questions, share observations when appropriate, and determine whether it makes sense to continue the conversation.

There is no pressure and no expectation that every conversation becomes a client engagement.

How do I know if we're a good fit?

The organizations that benefit most from working with us are committed to improving the way they sell and lead over time.

If you're looking for a one-day motivational event or a quick fix, we're probably not the right partner.

If you're interested in building a stronger sales culture, developing your people, and creating lasting behavioral change, we'd welcome the opportunity to talk.

Our Approach

What makes Sales Heart Partners different?

Pat Tobin spent more than thirty years leading successful sales organizations, building teams, coaching professionals, and carrying a personal sales quota as a player-coach before launching Sales Heart Partners.

That real-world experience shapes every client engagement. We believe in understanding the business first, asking thoughtful questions, and recommending solutions only after we understand the challenges you're trying to solve.

What makes Sandler different from other sales training programs?

Sandler has spent more than five decades helping organizations improve sales performance through a combination of proven methodology, reinforcement, coaching, and accountability.

Rather than relying on scripts or high-pressure selling techniques, Sandler focuses on building confident sales professionals who know how to lead meaningful business conversations.

Why do you use sales assessments?

Every organization is different.

Rather than making assumptions, we often begin by gathering objective information about individuals and teams. Assessments help us better understand strengths, development opportunities, and coaching priorities so recommendations are based on evidence instead of guesswork.

What is an Objective Management Group (OMG) assessment?

Objective Management Group (OMG) provides one of the world's most respected sales-specific assessment platforms. These assessments help organizations evaluate sales capabilities, identify development opportunities, support hiring decisions, and build more effective coaching plans.

Do you use AI in your coaching programs?

Yes. Sandler continues to invest in AI-powered learning tools that help reinforce learning, personalize development, and give sales professionals additional opportunities to practice between coaching sessions. We believe technology should support great coaching, not replace it. Discover how Sandler’s AI tools help empower learning, elevate selling, and unlock limitless growth for sales and leadership professionals.

Results & Expectations

What kind of results do clients typically see?

Every organization defines success differently. Some focus on improving prospecting, others on strengthening sales leadership, increasing margins, improving forecasting, or creating greater consistency across the sales team. Our objective is to help clients build sustainable improvements that continue long after an individual training session has ended.

Can I experience Sandler before making a commitment?
