Sandler Training Halifax has been selected to deliver facilitated customer care, sales and business development distance training for the North American market.
David Mattson, Sandler president and CEO, says Halifax and other selected locations are at the forefront of this technology and have delivered distance training for their customers for some time.
The demand for distance training has increased significantly over the past few years and is expected to continue to rise as companies look for more efficient ways to support their geographically-dispersed employee base with consistent, on-going training programs.
Bringing employees together for training is increasingly expensive and the costs of air travel, mileage, accommodation and meals represent a large percentage of an organization’s total training budget. The advances in on-line training technology allows for full interaction and effective exchange of ideas, exercises, role plays and group work.
Eldon MacKeigan, senior partner at Sandler Halifax, says the Halifax Sandler team pioneered the distance training initiative within the Sandler global network five years ago to address the training needs of a number of its clients.
“Customers, including Bluewave Energy, Parkland Fuels, Cooke Insurance and Mermaid Marine, have offices located throughout Atlantic Canada and beyond. They were concerned they could not deliver training cost-effectively to their employees. We were able to understand their goals and required outcomes for long-term training and have since developed our distance training strategy for these clients and many others since then,” MacKeigan says.
Sandler Halifax has also trained participants across Canada, Europe and the Caribbean through its distance training platform.
Other locations chosen by Sandler Corporate Head Office in Baltimore include Nevada, Idaho and Illinois.
